Flat destroyed by fire in Chichester arson attack

A FIRST-floor flat was destroyed by fire, and other areas of the building severely damaged in an arson attack.
Firefighters from Chichester, Bognor, East Wittering, Worthing and Shoreham were called out to the blaze at 3.50am on Saturday, January 30.

The blaze had taken hold on the first floor of the two-storey block of four flats in Bradshaw Road, Chichester.

Both first-floor flats were damaged by fire, heat and smoke and the ground-floor flats damaged by water.

It took more than two-hours for crews to put out the flames with five hose-reels, with 18 firefighters using breathing apparatus.

Police believe the incident was arson.
