An online bid has been launched to lobby ministers and urge them to overturn the decision to downgrade St Richard's Hospital.
Two internet petitions have been started asking the prime minister to re-evaluate the PCT's decision to choose Worthing as the site of the county's only major general hospital and downgrade the Chichester Hospital.
