Young ambassadors of Selsey carnival

FOUR youngsters fought off tough competition from nine other hopefuls to win the chance to be ambassadors for this year's Selsey Carnival.
Clarice Hayward and Charlie Gregory impressed judges with their interests, views and ideas for the future of the town at the Selsey Carnival Ambassador Ball.
Staged at Manhood Community College by the carnival committee, the event also saw ballroom and line-dancing demonstrations.
It was then down to five independent judges from the school, Selsey Town Council, competition sponsors Instant Help Ltd Marketing and Mailing, a local business and community wardens to judge the finalists.
They eventually chose Clarice and Charlie to be the ambassadors with Chloe Ranaboldo and Mitchel Phillips as their attendants.
The team will be charged with representing the carnival at all its events and some others.
