Golfers aim to raise more than £5,000 for children's charity Dreams Come True at Cowdray Park Golf Club next Wednesday (July 9).

The event, in association with Budgens Kavanagh, has 20 teams taking part with local and national businesses and individual supporters of the charity.

The charity, which fulfils the dreams of terminally and seriously-ill children, is celebrating
its 20th year and this is a key event to underline the commitment to make many more dreams come true in the future.

The day will begin with a breakfast to 'tee off' a silent auction, followed by golf competitions and challenges during the day.

A charity auction to win two champagne balloon flights, a private firework display, VIP passes to Brands Hatch, a framed tribute to George Best signed by the legend himself, and a break in a cottage in Normandy will ensure plenty of money is raised.

A firework display will close the event at 10.30pm.

"We are delighted Budgens Kavanagh has come on board and thank Cowdray Park Golf Club for holding the event," said Philip Pride, fundraising manager, at Dreams Come True. The aim of the day is to have plenty of fun and to raise as much as we can to fulfil more dreams."

Spaces are still available and businesses and supporters are invited to enjoy the full day event by entering a team.

Contact Philip Pride on 01730 815000 if you'd like to take part. For information about the charity, or if you know a child deserving a dream, call 0800 018 6013 or visit www.dctc.org.uk
