The Chichester & Arun youth leagues are coming to an end, with silverare being dished out left, right and centre.

Barnham Trojans 1 Chichester City Colts 4

League and cup winners Chichester City Colts completed their undefeated season with a 4-1 victory at Barnham Trojans.

A hat-trick from Taylor Hope and one from James Day proved more than enough to round off an outstanding season for George Everest's team.

Barnham, who had led the way for large parts of the campaign, were finally overtaken by Colts when the sides first met three weeks ago.

Hope's goal tally for the season reached 30 with his hat-trick last weekend, his pace and courage simply enhancing his natural ability to score goals.

With 23 wins in league and cup, Colts kept nine clean sheets, and were led admirably throughout by captain Stuart Marks.

Manager Everest must take a lot of the credit for the unprecedented season, developing and motivating a group of players into a competitive, confident footballing side.

Bosham 2 Worthing Town A 1

Better weather at last meant Bosham could play after weeks of postponed matches.

Out with the sunshine came lots of supporters and they were treated to a cracking game of football.

Bosham looked the stronger team and went ahead when pressure from Tom Bevington forced an own goal.

Worthing came out a different side after the break, forcing Charlie Ames to bring off some excellent saves.

After a quiet ten minutes, Bosham regained their shape and got back into the game.

Several chances on goal were created and Asa Lucy finally converted one.
Liam Lambert was named man of the match for his outstanding midfield performance.

UNDER-11

Bognor Colts 1 Chichester Colts 3

Chichester started brightly even though they had a weakened team. They dominated large parts of the first half.
The scoring was opened by Chichester when Boarer met a corner and powered in a header. This settled Chichester and they began a fine passing game, with Boarer adding a second.

Just before half-time, Bognor pulled a goal back and for five minutes either side of half-time they started to take control.

Chichester soon got back into the swing of it and, towards the end, Barnes crossed for Chamberlain to score and seal the match, ending the season for Chichester with a fourth straight win in a run that has included a cup final victory.

n Wittering are looking to set up an under-11 team for next season. Boys in school Year 5 at present, Year 6 from September, interested in playing should contact secretary Catherine Wilson on 07710 820720.
