Another 4-0 drubbing for the Lions saw them slip out of the county cup at the first time of asking.

They were 1-0 down within a minute as Ryan McMillan's header eluded everyone, and they never really recovered.

The home side attacked at will, and increased their lead in the 31st minute.

JoJo Tubon scored the first of two when his curling
free-kick ended up in the net.

Two became three with less than ten minutes of the second half on the clock.

Another free-kick was flicked on for Tubon to score his second.

The referee was ar the centre of controversy as he sent off Dan Martin and Louis Haga-Hammond for second bookable offences.

With six yellow cards as well, the game was spoilt as a spectacle.

With Pagham down to nine men, a long ball was picked up by Jordan Lee, who lobbed Hallett to leave the Lions licking their wounds.

Pagham reserves drew 3-3 with Lingfield reserves in their Challenge Cup first-round game – but lost 5-4 on penalties.

Dave Berkowitz' reserve side turned in a battling display. The visitors opened the scoring as a free-kick eluded Jamie Walter in Pagham's goal. Pagham hit back through Carl Turney's superb goal.

They took the lead on 65 minutes as Tom Poole capitalised on hesitancy before Lingfield levelled.

In extra-time, the refreee awarded Lingfield a penalty which was put away.

Ryan Cox's 110th-minute leveller left the sides facing spot-kicks.
The visitors scored all five of theirs – one more than the Lions.
