A woman was rescued by fire officers from a blazing flat in Middleton-on-Sea on Sunday afternoon.
Wearing breathing apparatus, the officers brought the woman out from a ground floor flat in Satinwood Close where the fire had started in the lounge.

The woman, believed to be in her 30s, was taken to St Richard's Hospital by ambulance.

Three-quarters of the flat was affected by fire and smoke.

Fire appliances from Bognor, Chichester, Littlehampton and East Preston were at the scene.
