Fontwell ready for its first big Sunday gathering

FONTWELL stages its first big weekend meeting of the year this Sunday. The track stages seven races, with the first off at 1.50pm.
Course bosses were delighted by the number of entries received.

Notable Jockeys: Richard Johnson, the current number 2 in the Jockeys' Championship, is joined by top riders Paul Moloney and Aidan Coleman, Welsh duo Rhys Flint and Christian Williams, and the younger brother of Turf Champion Ryan Moore, Joshua.

Notable Horses: Alph (3.20pm) who contested the Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham last year.

Fontwell Park general manager Phil Bell said: "We've got all the usual kids' entertainment like pets' corner, face painters and bouncy castles, and also have a big screen and a band playing during the afternoon."

Children aged 15 and under get in free if accompanied by a paying adult.

Hospitality packages start at £70 per head including VAT.
