ROGER FEDERER and Andy Murray are there this week – but soon it will be the turn of Felpham's Ben Stride to grace the famous courts at Wimbledon.

Ben has won the county final of the LTA's Road To Wimbledon tournament at West Worthing Tennis Club.

He beat Worthing's Sam Venn 6-2, 6-1 in the final.

It is a county-wide tournament with the area winners from each club in the county battling it out in the initial stages.

Ben beat Elliott Wiseman in the first round, Ruari Patterson form Eastbourne in the second and Ben Horton from Chichester in the last eight.

He defeated Thomas Vartdal from Seaford in the semis.

It qualifies Ben, who plays at Angmering-on-Sea and is coached by Brian Lee, to play in August's national finals of the competition at Wimbledon.
