With just under three weeks before the first of the Chichester Corporate Challenge road races, business teams are preparing to line up against sports and college teams in the senior races.
Primary and secondary schools are training hard to make an impression over the shorter junior courses.
All eyes in the seniors will be on the head of the field to see if James Baker can repeat his feat of last year in becoming the first athlete in the event's 18-year history to win all three races.
With Commonwealth Games gold medallist Michael East – a winner of one race in 2008 – now retired from competitive running, it will be interesting to see if anyone can get near his 12.39 course record for the 4.5km course.
Teamwise, the Portsmouth DSTL squad have prevailed in recent years even with a small squad of runners, while Chichester's strong under-17 women's team will be out to repeat their victory of last year.
Organisers advise runners to enter early. Entry forms are available on the Corporate Challenge website or by clicking on this story at www.chichester.co.uk.
They can also be obtained from the Westgate Leisure Centre.
