Chichester's under-16 and under-13 rugby teams both had good victories to celebrate.
UNDER-16
Chichester 17 Hove 9
Chichester maintained their 100 per cent record with a dominant performance against Hove, last year's beaten Sussex finalists, but they had to come back from a 6-0 deficit at half-time.
Chichester had the lion's share of the possession and territory in the first half, but Hove got the points on the board in their two sorties into the Blues' 22 through two needless penalties.
For the last 15 minutes of the half, Chichester were camped in their opponents' 22, but a combination of last-ditch tackles, dropped balls and poor options left the Blues pointless at half-time.
Callum Munday appeared to have broken the duck as he raced through to touch down a Jack Davies chip into the corner, but the referee gave a knock-on.
At the break, coach Bill Walker urged Chichester to maintain their composure and the second half started as the first had finished with Chichester in control and pressing hard.
Finally that pressure led to a try as Hove fumbled the ball behind their own line and hooker Ed Warnett dived on it to score.
Within minutes, Chichester had the lead as a good chip through by Harry Almey lead to a five-metre scrum and then a penalty five metres out.
Scrum-half Jack Walker took it quickly and dived over the line under the posts. Davies converted for a 12-6 lead.
Hove pulled the lead back to three points with a drop goal, but a try out wide by fly-half Davies ten minutes from time sealed the victory.
Chichester play their last league game of the season this week at Worthing – hoping to maintain their outstanding unbeaten
season.

UNDER-13
Chichester 10 Hastings & Bexhill 7
Having built on the improving performances at the end of 2009, Chichester recorded their first victory of the season in a tough, close-fought match.
Chichester were quickly into their stride and with most of the play in the Hastings half, Brooke-Jones and Sellwood were unlucky not to score. Chichester continued to pressure the line but Hastings defended fiercely.
The Blues hosts were eventually rewarded as Hudson crashed the line to score the first try, which was not converted.
Hastings started the second half with renewed vigour and it was Chichester's turn to defend. Great tackles from Langmead and Sellwood kept Hastings out as Chichester fought hard to win back control.
A well-placed kick gave them an attacking lineout from which Hudson scored. The try was unconverted, so the lead was 10-0.
Hastings were still chasing every half chance and as they charged down a clearance, the ball bounced for them and they scored a try which was converted.
Hastings knew they were playing well and another try would give them a win but Chichester defended as though their lives depended on it and showed a determination that the game was theirs – and were duly rewarded as the whistle came.
CHICHESTER: Ash, Bell, Bennett, Brooke-Jones, Christopher, Coleman, Deavall, Fuller, Gibbons, Hudson, Langmead, Moss, Mugford, Sellwood, Shepherd, Smaller, Taylor, Tucker, Wallis.
