Feeling jaded after six games in six days on their Dorset tour, both Aldwick teams found it hard returning to league duty.

Aldwick v Barns Green

Although the firsts made only 89, they had the visitors wobbling at 27 for four but then R Southgate (28*) and H Shoemark (44*) put on 63 together to see their team home.

Earlier, skipper John Young (30) was the only batsman to make runs.

Horsham Trinity II v Aldwick II

Aldwick seconds batted well to make 185 for seven.

The highlight of the innings was a 77-run stand between Dan Cox (57) and Ryan Hicks (36*). Useful knocks from Jay Ahuji (21) and Rob Taylor (25) also contributed to the final total.

With Horsham 107 for six, the visitors looked favourites but Trinity's J Gold (47*) and M Cushing (36) put on 49 to secure a home victory.

Aldwick's Alex Cooper (1-37) and Dave Robinson (2-29) gave their side a good start and Johnny Knapp took three for 23 but Aldwick couldn't finish them off.
