Leading them all on an awfully big adventure this Christmas will be Lindsay Harding as Bognor Regis' Peter Pan.
Lindsay was Peter Pan at Epsom last year; now she's reprising the role at the Regis Centre from December 10 to January 3.

"You've just got to play it from a boy's point of view," says Lindsay. "You've got to get back to being a child yourself and
get that energy and playfulness into the role.

"It's great fun. You get to fight Captain Hook and fly. Last year for the flying, I managed to do flips. I had a special harness and managed to go all the way round."

Of course, Hook represents something menacing, something sinister - but the fun is never far away.

"I just love the atmosphere of doing panto. I just love the fact everybody has such a good time and there is lots of audience participation.

"Christmas is such a great time and there is always a good spirit to it all.

"All the children love it, and for a lot of children pantomime is the first time they will have been into a theatre.

"I also just love the typical Englishness of panto. It is not something you would get anywhere else."

Lindsay has done little bits of TV work, but her career to date has mostly focused on theatre work, particularly playing the younger roles. And pretty much every year it's back to panto.

"It's just something I love to do. I would much rather be doing pantomime than sitting at home with a mince pie any time!"

Tickets on 01243 861010.
