Me and my partner stopped off here one night on our way home from London.

We booked a room on our way down and arrived around 7pm. Greeted instantly at the reception with a young girl with a huge smile on her face. She checked us in quickly and we were in our room within 5 minutes.

Very pleased with the quality of the room for the price that we paid - when I hand over less than £50 for a room I am always dubious of what I am going to be faced with when I open the hotel room door!

After freshening up we went downstairs and had a meal in the on-site restaurant. Food was very good and reasonably priced too.

A great nights sleep in a very comfy bed!

What I like about this hotel is that it is set back far enough from the motorway that you can't hear the cars going past at night. In fact, the two times that I have stayed here I couldn't hear a thing at night.

I paid just under £60 for my room and was very happy with what I got. The room has just been refurbished and still had a slight paint smell to it. The bed was so comfortable I didn't want to get up for work the next morning.

Had breakfast in the adjoining restaurant, The Great Oak which was very nice and filling. Had a choice of continental or full english.
