There was an air of Hollywood glamour when Midhurst Rother College sixth formers held their prom at Cowdray Golf Club.
Attended by staff as well as students past and present, the event was planned and organised by the students themselves.

And as guests arrived against the beautiful backdrop of the Cowdray golf course, they brought the glitter of the latest fashions, with two boys even donning kilts for the occasion.

"It was an inspired choice of venue," said one guest. "The setting was perfect and the welcome of the golf club staff just couldn't have been better – nothing was too much trouble."

Head of sixth form Mark Philips paid tribute to the organising team and all the students who attended: "For students who have worked so hard in their exam preparation Friday evening was a chance to relax with friends and recall some very happy memories with both grace and good-humoured irreverence.

"As they head off to various exciting destinations next year we feel confident that they will be regular and welcome visitors to the MRC sixth form. We wish them all the very best of luck."

Mr Philips presented chocolates and flowers to fellow tutors who had worked closely with the students during their final two years at the college.

Outgoing head girl and boy, Chloe and Scott gave the vote of thanks.
