It was certainly a glorious day for the Garden Event at West Dean Gardens.
Hundreds of people turned out for a series of demonstrations and to see more than 60 exhibitors displaying a wide variety of plants and garden accessories.

Among the exhibitors were Rob and Rosie Hardy who own and run Hardy's Cottage Garden Plants. They were on hand to share their knowledge and expertise with the public.

The event, now in its 14th year, also included a display of vintage lawnmowers.

Foxhollow Animal Sanctuary's stall was popular with visitors.

Staff brought with them several of their rescued animals including poultry and miniature pigs and chatted with the crowds to raise awareness of the sanctuary's work.
