GREEN-FINGERED bargain hunters should head for Littlehampton's Dairy Community Centre tomorrow (Saturday, May 17, 2008), for the Town Show's annual plant sale.
A vast range of bedding and vegetable plants, herbs, shrubs and herbaceous varieties will be on offer at the centre, in Church Street, between 10am and noon, and as ever, the early birds will catch the best specimens.
The sale is the show committee's main fund-raising event and all proceeds will go towards staging this year's event, on Saturday, September 13. Committee members will be on hand to offer gardening advice and there will be other stalls selling home-made cakes and jewellery, as well as a tombola and refreshments. Entry forms for the town council garden competition will also be available.
The committee would like to recruit new members to help with the show — anyone who is interested should go along to the sale, or telephone Alan Humphrey on 01903 725009.
Schedules for this year's show will be available shortly. All last year's exhibitors will be sent one automatically.
