PUPILS at Horsham's Forest School have achieved their best-ever results.

Of the 194 pupils in Year 11 who took GCSE examinations this year, 69 per cent achieved five or more A* - C grades – an increase on last year and a continuation of the upward trend over the past five years.

Even more impressive is that almost half the year group (47 per cent) achieved eight or more A* - C grades and that 32 per cent - nearly a third of the year group - achieved ten or more A* - C grades.

For the fifth year running, all those pupils who completed their examinations achieved five or more A* - G GCSEs.

Iain Barrett was the star performer with 13 A*/A grades.

Siobhan Denning, Headteacher, said: "These excellent results have been achieved through the hard work and commitment of staff and pupils. The achievement of our pupils is also a reflection of the support of their parents, and everyone is to be congratulated. These academic results are very pleasing and are a tribute to the commitment shown by everyone involved.

"Whilst we are very proud of those boys who have done exceptionally well, everyone at the school is also proud of all our pupils – all the boys who sat all their exams have attained five GCSE's at G or above – a real achievement and one that indicates our commitment to inclusion."
