Road closed after pylon falls

A ROAD looks set to be closed for hours today (Friday December 11) due to a fallen electricity pylon.

The pylon fell halfway across Forest Road, Colgate, this afternoon.

It is believed workers will be putting up a new pylon today.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said that at 2.30pm it had been reported the road would be closed for six or seven hours.

It is understood the pylon is down between Beedingwood Drive and Tower Road and Forest Road is closed in both directions.
