Newick milkman Jim Marsh has donated about £8,000 for St Peter & St James Hospice after running the London marathon.
Jim suffered cramp after 21 miles but insisted on completing the run, finishing in a time of 4 hours 18 minutes, an hour quicker than last year.

After the race he went to retrieve his dry clothing only to find they had been mislaid. Consequently, he ended up in the medical centre with hyperthermia.

Jim is now fully recovered and said: "Despite everything, given the opportunity I would definitely do it all again."

He also ran for the hospice in 2007, raising £7,300, and would like to thank all of his family, friends and customers who have sponsored his efforts.
