Tangmere elected to bat on a pitch offering some bounce and were rewarded as Murray made 111.
Murray was joined by Ince (34) to put on 117 for the fourth wicket and take the game away from a variety of bowlers. Murray’s maiden ton saw the score to 197.

Angmering’s reply compromised between safety and putting away the balls.

Winter (23), Pearson (18) and Hawkins (19) consumed time well, while Oakley ( four for 21) produced three stumpings.

Angmering’s juniors held on as they made 109 for seven.
