Bognor notched their 19th straight win and made it more than 100 points in two games against Kent opposition.
Two wins from their last four league games will see Bognor go up to London three south west as champions – and on this form, no-one is betting against them.

Part of the reason for the success has been the small number of injuries. But the past three games have seen injuries to three props, centre Dave Sweeney, and, this week, scrum-half Billy Toone, carried off after ten minutes with an injury to his sternum and ribs.

Hopefully all will have recovered to play a part in the climax to the league campaign and the Sussex Trophy Final.

Toone's place at scrum-half was filled by youngster Pat Gibbs, whose star performance came a day before he played for Sussex under-20s.

The first ten minutes saw Bognor spurn three try-scoring opportunities, but the cultured left foot of full-back Nathan Bond brought composure and ensured territorial advantage was maintained.

It was 20 minutes before Bognor crossed the line when George Castleton made 40 metres before handing over to Lee Balchin. The flanker made no mistake and Rob Parry converted.

Within five minutes, Bognor had scored another two tries to go 17-0 ahead. The first came when Parry fed Stuart Pearce; then the outside-half helped himself to a try.

Two of the next three tries were scored by Bognor's other young county player, Dan Brock, on his 18th birthday.

Brock, who also represents English Colleges, enjoyed plenty of space and his increased confidence was reflected in his strong running.
Tim Stickland's try after a solo 40-metre effort made it 34-0 at half-time.

Early in the second half, Karl Flinn broke through and found Scott Barlow, who was unstoppable from 20 metres.

Beccehamians showed spirit to raise their game and after a series of forward drives, they scored a well-deserved try.

Steve Dove put Bognor further ahead after another powerful run by Castleton.

Bognor took their foot off the gas and Beccs scored another two tries, sandwiching Balchin's 16th of the season. Parry converted the three second-half tries for a 15-point haul.

Bognor resume their league campaign on Saturday, March 1, when Folkestone visit Hampshire Avenue.
