The second race of the season proved more successful than the first for riders from Chichester's Southdown Velo-Geared Bikes.
They achieved almost a clean sweep, winning two races and finishing second in the third at Portsmouth's Mountbatten Centre track.

In the fourth category race for beginners, Tom Spreckley from West Wittering improved on his second place the week before at Hillingdon to win his first-ever race.

These two results instantly promote him to third-category status.

It was in the race for third-category riders that Southdown achieved their second win with Littlehampton's Liam Terry, who had crashed the week before.

The final race for elite riders proved, as always, fast and furious.
Lavant's Toby Neave broke clear with two others. In the final sprint, he was narrowly beaten by Justin Hoy from Andover.

Marc Perry from Aldwick, who rides for Sports Beans and who has recently returned from racing and living in Belgium, finished ninth.
