Southern Water, which provides supplies to some parts of the Midhurst and Petworth area, is inviting customers to give their views on the company's strategy for managing water resources over the next 25 years.
Proposals for metering, leakage and new resources are among the issues people are asked to comment on.

The draft strategy is set out in a water resources management plan which was published last week, dealing with key challenges the company foresees over the next 25 years.

Water companies have for many years produced such documents for the industry's regulators and the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra), but this is the first time they are also opening them for public consultation. Any comments should be sent to Defra.

Southern Water's plan can be viewed on its website www.southernwater.co.uk .

Alternatively, a summary is available by calling the customer service department on 0845 278 0845.

Customers who do not have internet access can phone 01903 272606 to organise visiting the company's offices to review the documents.

The deadline for comments is July 25.
