Colourful quilts are bringing cheer to patients at Midhurst Community Hospital – and now even more have been donated.
Midhurst Quilters group gave ten to the hospital at Christmas and have recently presented nine more, making one for each of the 17 beds with two spare.
Dorothy Harvey from the group said: "Each quilt measures 30ins by 40ins and was made to go across the bottom of the bed.
"But they are actually being used so they seem to cover the whole bed and they look very nice.
"They can also be used to keep patients' legs warm when they are sitting out of bed."
There are 25 quilters in the group and more members will be welcome.
Mrs Harvey said: "We are friendly and welcome anyone, whether they can quilt or not. We can soon teach them – it is a very easy thing to do."
Midhurst Quilters meet on the second Tuesday morning of each month at the Roman Catholic church hall in Bepton Road.
