Young gymnasts in the Midhurst area can soon sign up for a brand-new club when South Western Gymnastics opens its doors in the town in September.
And on Saturday (July 12)there was a chance to see current members in action when they performed a special display at Stedham School's annual summer fete.

Eight young gymnasts took part in the display and delighted visitors with their agility on several pieces of equipment brought in for the demonstration, including the club's own air-track and tumble-run.

The new club is to be held every Tuesday evening during term-time starting from September 9 for children aged from four to 14. They will be taught by top recreational coaches.

South Western Gymnastics Club was founded in South West London in 1982 and is currently under the ownership of Luke Gale.

The club has achieved a top three finish at the previous two Surrey competitions, beating 12 other teams in the process.

At the last south-east competition, South Western came sixth out of 23 clubs in the region.

The club will be opening in the new sports hall at Midhurst Grammar School and will have predominantly brand-new state-of-the-art equipment.

There will be a seven-piece set-up – a 12-metre by six-metre floor area, competition vault, assymetric bars, high and low beams, two full-size trampolines, trampette and the club's fun air-track and tumble-run.

There will be free trial sessions for anyone who is interested on September 9 and 16 between 4.30pm and 8.15pm.

Anyone who would like any more information should contact Luke on 01372 200564 or email him.
