UPSET and angry parents packed into a public meeting in Rogate last night (Thursday, March 6) to protest over plans to close the village school.
Around 200 people packed a public meeting to express their shock and anger that their school could be axed under the county council's plans to reorganise the school-system in the Rother Valley.

The education authority wants to combine seven schools so they become 'all-through' and cater for children aged 4 to 11.

The plan is in-line with Government wishes that primary school children do not change school as often as they do now.

For the full story see the Midhurst and Petworth Observer on sale Thursday, March 13.

Does your child go to Rogate Primary School or one of the other schools included in the consultation?
What do you think of the council's plans?
