WEST Sussex county council is reviewing safety at its Littlecote Children's Home in Petworth after two children climbed out onto the roof on Saturday (June 28)evening.
Firefighters rushed to the home at 9.40 pm because staff were unable to reach the children to get them back to safety.
But the two boys aged eight and nine, returned on their own, before the emergency service arrived and were unharmed.
A spokesman for the county council told the
Observer: "We are now looking at how they managed to get onto the roof and how incidents such as this can be prevented in the future."
