Scholarships for students from closing Midhurst school

St Margaret's Convent Junior School at Midhurst – which is closing at the end of this term – has announced awards of 11 scholarships among its last Year 6 pupils.
Among the seven academic scholarship winners are Dorothea Charles, from Cocking, who has a place at Portsmouth Grammar School, Oliver Souter, from Easebourne (Portsmouth Grammar), Freddie Hobbs, also from Easebourne (St Edmund's, Hindhead), Natasha C
raven of Henley, near Fernhurst (Priorsfield, Godalming) and Francesca West of Midhurst (Lavant House). Celeste Sykes, from Midhurst, is one of two art scholarship winners. She will attend Alton Convent.

A music scholarship to Priorsfield has been awarded to Lara Wassenberg, who lives at Trotton.

In addition, Alexander Morgan-Grenville from Upperton, near Petworth, reached the final stages of the National Primary Maths Challenge.
