Onlookers at the England South America match have told the Observer how international polo player and Ralph Lauren model, Nachos Figueras fell from his horse during Saturday’s match.

The six goal polo star Figeuras, who only last weekend took to the polo field with Prince Harry for a charity match in Connecticut, was captaining the South American side against England in the match at Cowdray Park.

It is believed that the player, who was taken off the pitch after his horse fell on his legs, has fractured his pelvis.

One onlooker said: “He fell off his horse and it rolled on top of him and unfortunately as the horse got up it then kicked him. He was taken away by ambulance.”

The South American side went on to win the match in front of a large crowd.
