POLICE have released the name of the man who died in a collision which is believed to have happened early on Monday morning (October 21).
Ryan Carney, 21, of Kings Road, Haslemere, died after his car left the road on the B2131 Liphook Road, near Lynchmere.
Sergeant Rob Baldwin of the Sussex Road Policing Unit said, “Our thoughts are with Ryan’s family and friends during this difficult time.
“We are continuing with a thorough investigation into the circumstances of the collision and we would like to speak with anyone who may have seen Ryan’s green Peugeot 106 being driven between Liphook and Haslemere, which we believe would have been in the early hours of Monday morning.
“We are also keen to speak with any local resident or business who may have a CCTV camera recording which shows the B2070 Portsmouth Road just south of Liphook, or the B2131 Haslemere Road running east from the village”.
The vehicle was discovered off of the road by a passing motorist just before noon on Monday, and he alerted the emergency services.
