THE Granary bakery in Midhurst had some problems today (May 15), when the ceiling fell in.
But although the shop is now closed, owner James Scott said they would be up and running again by Friday.
“Thankfully nobody was hurt,” he said.
“It is a suspended ceiling and it just sort of ripped and fell down. It looks like it wasn’t installed properly in the first place.”
But not one for hanging around, Mr Scott said an electrician would be in the shop today making sure the building is safe, and they are having the ceiling reinstalled tomorrow.
“We’ll be back open for business on Friday morning,” he said.
“We have got to look after the people of Midhurst.” he said.
