A MAN from Midhurst has today (Wednesday, September 19) been found guilty of the manslaughter of a baby.
Jerome Edwards was found guilty of the manslaughter of 11-month-old baby Crystal Hall-Hummel.
Edwards, of Bridgefield Close, Midhurst, denied the charge.
During the trial at Lewes Crown Court, the 27-year-old said he had tried to resuscitate baby Crystal after he woke to find her limp and blue while babysitting at his girlfriend Georgina Hummel’s home in Nursery Road, Worthing, on May 13 last year.
Edwards was sentenced to eight years in prison.
