Businesses breathe fresh life into Midhurst

Three independent traders who have opened shops at the southern end of Midhurst are hoping their investment will help revitalise a part of the town blighted by a series of closures.

Ian Kettlewell, who describes himself as ‘a traditional men’s barber’,has opened the door of long-dormant retail premises in Bepton Road, while Donna Harley-Nash has been in business in her Zeemax fashion shop across the road for nine weeks.

Around the corner in West Street, premises which once housed a shoe shop, then a wine retailer, has re-emerged as Beverley Davies’ vintage-themed Arnage.

All three of the newcomers have faith that what in the past has been the neglected end of Midhurst – with North Street the plum location – can become the place to do business.
