AS PART of the Midhurst Town Team initiative to bring visitors to the town, a charity cycle day has been launched.
Michael Chevis, town team founder member, is organising the event on Saturday, May 11.
The team hope the cycle day will help to rejuvenate the town – and the event will also support children’s Dreams Come True.
There will be two sessions; one in the morning and afternoon, with routes for varying abilities from seven up to 24 miles.
Once out of the town, the cyclists are off the main roads and will only use the lanes around the villages.
The first route takes in Bepton, Didling, Elsted and Harting.
And the second will take in West Lavington, Heyshott, Graffham and Selham.
Between each ride there will be time for the cyclists to take a stroll into town for lunch and to visit the shops.
“The event will help raise money for Dreams Come True, a local children’s charity that helps terminally and seriously ill children across the UK to fulfil their dreams,” said Michael.
The cycle rides will start at Midhurst Rother College from 9.30am.
