CHILDREN across Midhurst and Petworth have been putting their creative skills to the test by making Easter bonnets.

At Midhurst Nursery Class, children decorated an egg tree to be used as a centrepiece for the Easter Bonnet parade.

Some 30 children took part in the parade, wearing an amazing array of bonnets made at home by parents.

The morning ended with a frantic Easter egg hunt outside.

At Fernhurst Pre-School children took as much care and delight in designing their Easter bonnets as any millinery designer. They went across to the main school for the judging by head teacher Gary Parkes who selected Emilia Krizanik, Molly O’Grady and Max Reid as the three best.

Camelsdale Primary school pupils decorated and made their own Easter bonnets with a variety of accessories ranging from feathers, bunnies and ducklings to flowers.
