Christmas message from Chichester and District Volunteer Centre

CHICHESTER and District Volunteer Centre has wished everyone a merry Christmas and thanked all those who have given up their time to volunteer in the past year.

Since April, the centre has supported a number of people hoping to find volunteer placements across the Chichester district.

Anyone who is thinking about making volunteering their new year’s resolution is welcome to contact the centre.

Chris Broggi, centre co-ordinator, said: “Local organisations and services depend on their volunteers but volunteers will also tell you that their experiences, and the friendships they develop as volunteers, become an important and positive part of their lives – everyone wins.”

Volunteer Drop-In sessions are held in Chichester every Tuesday at the Information Centre, at New Park Community and Arts Association, and every Thursday at Chichester District Council, from 9.30am to 12.30pm.

Sessions will also be held at Midhurst library on Friday, January 4, Friday, February 1, and Friday, March 1.

Drop-in sessions will be held in Petworth Library on Friday, January 11, Friday, February 8, and Friday, March 8.

Anyone who would like more information can call the centre on 01243 864220 or email cvc@vaac.org.uk.

Drop-in sessions are held throughout the month.
