SOCIETIES and clubs across Midhurst are being invited to apply for grant funding.
The Grange Community Association (GCA) was established in 1974 to build and run a leisure centre for the community. Now the Grange Leisure Centre is run by the local authority, the charity awards grants to groups offering community and sports facilities.
The charity has recently elected a new chairman, former Midhurst Town Council clerk Joan Hursthouse.
Joan will be supported by six trustees including treasurer Julian Goodale and secretary Graham Pooley.
The charity has awarded grants to Graffham Empire Hall, Lodsworth village hall, the South Pond project, Lodsworth croquet club, Midhurst Methodist Hall, the Fernhurst table tennis club, The Cobden Hall Heyshott, Rotherfield Sports Association, Easebourne Primary School’s library refurbishment project and MADhurst.
The association will meet at the end of September to review the latest applications.
There is still time for applications to be submitted – see http://www.thegrange.org.uk/ for details.
Anyone interested in joining the GCA to support the ongoing efforts to help community, leisure and sports bodies can contact the membership secretary Judy Fowler via Goodale Mardle in West Street or email email@example.com
