Police investigating a drugs supply chain searched two properties in Eastbourne today (June 11) before arresting three people for conspiracy to supply drugs to the town.
Members of the Metropolitan Police Service SC&08 Trident Central Gangs Unit have been working closely with Sussex Police investigating a drugs supply chain between Southwark Borough, in London, and Eastbourne.
The drugs supply line was identified from London to Sussex in April 2015 and a proactive operation, called Op Kabbert, commenced.
As part of this operation, police arrested a 19-year-old male in London on Thursday, June 11 for conspiracy to supply drugs to Eastbourne and three search warrants were executed - one in London and two at Eastbourne addresses in Upper Avenue and Leslie Street, with the assistance of Sussex officers.
A large amount of Class A drugs and a hand gun were recovered from the London address. A 28-year-old male and a 46-year-old male were arrested in Eastbourne, also for conspiracy to supply Class A drugs. All three are currently helping police with their enquiries.
