AS part of their continuing support for young people in Midhurst, staff at Budgens have been dressing up as cowboys and Indians.

It was all part of a special fund raising day organised by staff to raise money for the Midhurst Snack Wagon.

Budgens has provided the refreshments supplied from the snack wagon which has made the project sustainable, for the past four years.

“The latest fund raising event collected £108 generously donated by customers,” said Colin Hughes, chairman of the group which organises the snack wagon.

“We are very grateful to Budgens. It supports many activities in the town including the community bus and we recognise the part it plays in our community.”

The Snack Wagon can be seen on Tuesdays at the Midhurst Bus Station providing

information to young people together with refreshments.

“Making contact with young people where they happen to be in the evening is so important,” said Mog Fordham, who works with other volunteers to provide the service for young people. “Advice can be given to help solve many of their problems and at the same time provides a regular place.”
