A GORING man has been charged with the robbery of a Petworth antiques shop last Thursday (August 11).
Mark Burr, 47, of Melville Way, was charged with robbery and appeared before Chichester Magistrates on Monday morning (August 15), where he was remanded for trial until early November.
Police are still looking for a man in connection with the robbery of the shop in East Street at around 1.30pm.
When the shopkeeper tried to intervene, she was held by one of two men while the other went up to the first floor.
It is believed he stole a gold pocket watch before running down and out of the shop, followed by the first man.
They were last seen on foot in Angel Street.
