Man attacked in Midhurst

POLICE are seeking witnesses to an incident outside the Natwest bank, in North Street, Midhurst.

The incident took place at 2.30pm on Friday, December 21.

The victim, a 34-year-old local man, reports he was walking past the bank when he was punched by the suspect which caused him to fall.

He then had a small quantity of cash stolen from him as he lay on the ground.

The suspect is described as being white, middle aged, about 5’9” and of average build, wearing dark clothing.

PC Trevor Pritchard said; “This is the main street in Midhurst which would have been busy at that time. Anyone who saw what happened is asked to contact us via 101 quoting serial 0925 of 21/12. You can also call independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 11.”
