Men arrested after Yapton attack

Three men have been arrested after an attack in Yapton.

The suspects - aged 29, 27 and 18 - were arrested on suspicion of affray following an attack on a 35-year-old man on the evening of Monday, July 25.

Police and emergency services were called to Cobham Close, Yapton, about 6.25pm to reports a man was being beaten by a group of men.

The victim was taken to St Richard’s Hospital for treatment for facial injuries and was kept overnight for treatment.

The 27-year-old suspect was treated at Worthing Hospital for minor injuries before he was released into police custody.

The two men arrested for affray are from Chichester and the 29-year-old who was arrested on suspicion of affray and criminal damage is from Yapton.
