Murder accused to enter plea

A FORMER detective accused of murdering his partner will appear in court next month.

Peter Foster, 35, of West Street, Haslemere, is due to enter a plea at Lewes Crown Court on April 4.

He is charged with the murder of Heather Cooper, 33, who served with Surrey Police - she was killed by a blow to the head and a stab wound to the throat in October last year.

Her body was found in Blackdown Woods near Lurgashall.

The mother of two had served as a detective constable in the Public Protection Investigation Unit based at Guildford police station.
