A sick puppy tied up and left to die at Wisborough Green is the subject of an RSPCA appeal.
The animal charity is seeking information to try and discover who owned the black labrador-type puppy which was found soon after its death, tied up in a small kennel at Skiff Lane.
The RSPCA said it was alerted by a passer-by who found the puppy, which was aged about ten weeks, and one of its inspectors, Mel Brett, is dealing with the case.
She said: “This poor puppy seemed to have been suffering from something like parvo virus as there was vomit and faeces all over the inside of the kennel.
“It had clearly been abandoned when poorly and had died alone in this kennel. It is unbelievably cruel.”
Anyone who knows who the black puppy may have belonged to is asked to contact the RSPCA in confidence on 0300 123 4999.
