A CYCLIST who single-handedly raised £695 as part of a charity cycle ride has been presented with a bicycle as thanks for her efforts.
Alex Savage took part in the annual Salterns Way Charity Fun Ride in May to raise money for St Wilfrid’s Hospice and Macmillan.
The event raised just under £7,000, which will be split between both charities, and Alex was the top fundraiser.
Last month she was presented with a German handmade bike worth more than £400, thanks to Mitch Dall.
St Wilfrid’s said it wanted to thank Alex and all the other cyclists who took part.
The fun ride is a ten-mile sponsored cycle ride starting from the Cross in Chichester and heading off along the Salterns Way Cycle Path.
