THE PASSION and dedication of a 15-year-old student has lead to recognition from the Royal Academy of Dance.

Ella Young, pupil at Midhurst Rother College has achieved her advanced ballet examination with Merit from the Royal Academy of Dance.

Dedicated Ella, who has her heart set on going to the Central School of Ballet in London, has been training for over three hours a week throughout the summer holidays and has achieved the ballet accolade.

Ella has been studying for over a year for the exam and studies ballet at the Haslemere School of Dance in Lodsworth.

“Ella is a hugely dedicated young lady. The exam is a high level, equivalent to a level four examination which I think is the equivalent of the beginning of the degree,” said Miss Juliette Pearce, principal at the Haslemere School of Dance.

“It is a delight as a teacher to have a student come such a long way. Ella is so motivated and so focussed and is such a pleasure to teach. I am extremely proud of Ella’s achievements, she has worked so hard for this examination,” added Miss Pearce.

“Not many young ladies from around the world have achieved this at such a young age, Ella has done so well,” added Miss Pearce.
