A disabled pensioner has won her appeal against the loss of some of her care package.

As reported in last week’s Observer, Mary Sutton, 81, from Middleton, was set to lose around £240 a month.

But following the story she has now been told she will keep her current allowance.

Mrs Sutton, who has poliomyelitis, said: “We won. I was over the moon with the story and I’m over the moon I will keep all of my care.”
