PUPILS at Ditcham Park School near Harting celebrated the Harvest Festival with a service of thanksgiving.

The service was led by the Rev Judith Bee, vicar of Buriton, the parish in which the school lies.

Parents, staff and friends of the school donated a wide variety of fresh produce as well as grocery items and flowers which were put on display for the service.

People of all ages were involved, with the youngest children invited to take part in a procession into the room carrying their harvest baskets.

After the service, all the harvest produce was donated to the Oakleigh Family Centre in Leigh Park, Havant, which provides much needed support to families in that area.

Lorraine Spacey who represented the charity said they were overwhelmed by the amount and variety of produce and said it would be very much appreciated.
