Lynchmere Parish Council has installed three village gates to encourage drivers to ‘drive carefully’.
The gates have been installed on Camelsdale Road and Lynchmere Road. The work was carried out by the West Sussex County Council volunteer team with the help of Peter Allen, a member of Lynchmere Parish Council.
This builds on another parish council road safety initiative to provide a camera for the Camelsdale School lollipop man to deter unsafe driving.
Mr Allen said: “The parish council is delighted to have completed the project to make roads safer for our residents, particularly the children. Many thanks to the county council volunteer team who helped to install the gates.”
